REGEN Results for Canada

The areas reported as treated in different ways are not entirely consistent with the areas reported in the Compendium of Canadian Forestry Statistics. The discrepancies are generally due to the different land bases for which treatments are reported. For example, in this site, planting and seeding are only reported for areas that have been recently harvested, whereas the Compendium reports all planting and seeding regardless of whether it takes place on recently harvested land, burned areas or old agricultural fields.
